Hildegard was born on 22 February 1925 in Hebron, North Dakota. She married Elbert Osborn Chase Jr. on 22 May 1951. They lived in Hensonville New York with their four sons and were members of the Hensonville Methodist Church. After the untimely death of her husband, she remained in Hensonville raising her four sons. She was the owner of Hildegard Hairstylist and ran the business for many years. After she closed the business, she worked in the restaurant industry as a maitre 'd in Rhode Island, Florida, and New York. When she retired, she moved several times out to Minnesota and back to be with her siblings. She traveled a few times to Hawaii with her brother Herman during the winter months. She eventually moved back to Coxsackie, New York until she had a mishap and ended up having to move into a nursing home. She resided at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the last four years. Her final wish was to be an Anatomical Gift Donator to Albany Medical College to help science and education of future medical profession students. A celebration of life will be scheduled in early June 2023.
