Rebecca Ramage, Hermitage, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, in her home in the loving care of her husband, children and with the help of hospice staff. She was 81.

Mrs. Ramage was born July 24, 1931 in Wheatland a daughter of William and Rebecca Costea Haun.

She was a lifelong area resident and attended Farrell High School. Rebecca was an active member of East Side Church (Baptist-Disciple of Christ), Sharon, where she was a deaconess and helped with Baptism and funeral luncheons.

She was employed by the Hermitage School District as a cook for many years at Hickory High School. Rebecca was a wonderful baker and prepared, planned and cooked for all of her family holidays. She also loved to play the organ. Rebecca loved our dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her faith was evident until the very last days of her life.

Surviving are: her loving husband of 64 years, John L. Ramage, Sr.; a son, John L. Ramage, Jr. and his wife Charlene, Hermitage; two daughters, Terry Schwartz and her husband David G., Mentor, Ohio; and Deborah Morford, Hermitage; three grandsons, David J. Schwartz, Christopher Schwartz and Matthew Morford; four granddaughters, Faith Ramage, Janelle Morrell, Angela Candiano and Rebecca Coppersmith; a sister, Norma Black, New Wilmington; two brothers, William Haun, Masury; and Ronald Haun, Hermitage; and her two cats whom she adored, Precious and Princess. She is expecting her first great grandchild in April.

Besides her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Haun; and two sisters, Loretta Reed and Peggy Travis.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 2320 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

In keeping with Rebecca's wishes, there are no calling hours.
