Edith Howard Cushing was the daughter of Thomas Forbes and Fannie L. (Grinnell) Cushing. She was born January 26, 1871.
On January 1, 1903, Edith married Blair Fairchild who the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fairchild.
Her residence in1914 was Villa des Feux, Houlgate (Calvados, France.

Newport loses a one-time Summer resident in the death in Paris last week of Mrs. Blair Faircild, formerly Miss Edythe H. Cushing, daughter of the late Thomas F. Cusing of Boston who formerly owned a Summer place at Newport, on Bellevie Avenue, known as New Lodge. Mrs. Fairchild was a cousin of Mr. Grafton D. Cushing and of the late Howard G. Cushing. Mr. and Mrs. Fairchild had been living in Paris for quite a number of years.
