Waitman Meikle is Dead
Waitman Meikle died last Monday morning, April 28, 1908. He had been ill since last August, and his death was not unexpected. Waitman grew from a child to manhood here and many friends were made sad by his death. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, at which time Elder Rolfe preached an impressive and interesting sermon, and a large number of friends and relatives followed the remains to the cemtery east of town, where his father was buried just a few months ago.
Waitman R. Meikle, son of John and Mary Miner Meikle, was born September 20, 1882, died April 27, 1908, aged 25 years, 7 months, and 7 days. He was married November 15, 1905, to Miss Lizzie Hopkins. one child was born to this union and the wife and child are left to mourn with his mother, three brothers, and six sisters.
It is said that he made all arrangements for his funeral, said goodbye to the family and fell asleep.-----Conway Springs Star.
The deceased was a brother to Jno. A. Meikle and was here a short time last sumner. The Enterprise Hunter, Oklahoma, April 30, 1908, extends the deepest sympathy to the bereaved ones.
