Rev. Jesse B. Wilson was a pioneer home missionary to Oregon in 1870, where he and his wife Frances Ann Wallace went to build churches. He preached in Eugene, Oregon and helped build the Presbyterian church in Junction City, Oregon, which is now a rooming house. They had their first child in Eugene. They returned to Zelienople in fall of 1872 because the Rev. was ill. He died the following year.
