Double Marker: Joy D Cason Hooe 16 Oct 1935 Married 16 Oct 1953 R.E. Hooe (Robert Earle Hooe, Jr.) 3 Aug 1924. Our Children: Winford Earl; Paula Kaye; Karla JoyR. E. Hooe, 89, of Kiowa, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Coal County General Hospital in Coalgate. R.E. was the second of ten children born to Robert Earl and Sarah Ollie (Dennis) Hooe August 3, 1924 at Wardville. R.E. was raised at Wardville and lived near Wardville and Kiowa and at his present resident for 54 years. He married Joy Deen Cason October 16, 1953 in Ft. Worth, Texas. R.E. was always a cattle rancher and had raised cattle since he was fourteen. He raised Hereford cattle but in 2000 he decided that Black Baldy cattle were" pretty good". R.E. also worked horses and colts on his ranch. He worked in road construction for thirty years as a road grader operator. He traveled to many construction sites and made numerous friends along the way. R.E. enjoyed Hereford sales, rodeos, collecting knives, and visiting with his grandchildren, and enjoyed his great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Coalgate United Methodist Church, a member of the American Hereford Association, past member of the Paint Horse Association and Atoka County Farm Bureau Board. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Earl and Ollie Hooe, a sister: Naomi Pemberton, and a brother: Cleve Hooe. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6 at Coalgate United Methodist Church, 106 N. Newell Rd., Coalgate, OK, with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Interment will be at Wardville Cemetery.
