Jeanne A. May, 77, of Dubuque, died Sunday evening, March 16, 2008, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road.

Mrs. May was a legal secretary with the C.J. May Jr. Law Offices for 37 years prior to retiring in 2001.

She was born on Oct. 3, 1930, in Dubuque, daughter of William H. and Katherine (DeLuhery) Quillin. She graduated from the former Visitation Academy in 1948.

She married C.J. May Jr. on Feb. 7, 1953, at Nativity Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1999.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl J. May, of Chicago; a son, C.J. May III, of Dubuque; two twin grandchildren, Kayla and Danny May; a sister, Rosemary Pape, of Dubuque; and a brother, Raymond Quillin, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Quillin.
