WELLS JOAN EVELYN BRENNAN Aged 64, a native of San Francisco, CA, and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away, Saturday, April 20, 2002, at her home in Fairhope, AL, after a courageous battle with cancer. As everyone said: "Joan never met a stranger." She enjoyed people and would talk to everyone. Joan loved to sing, to laugh, and to live in the moment, always with joy. At one time she was an Arthur Murray dance instructor. Later on she won awards in bowling. She was also a very creative cook. Her latest accomplishments were her paintings which were beautifully done and we have these to keep and to cherish. Although Joan's talents were many, she always attributed them to God working through her. Her spirituality was deep and strong. Joan was a loyal and loving wife, a caring sister and a good friend. She will be deeply missed. Joan is preceded in death by her mother and father, Berniece and John Brennan and her sister, Carol Manoukian. Joan is survived by: loving husband Roger Glenn Wells of Fairhope, AL; 2 brothers, Terry Brennan of Santa Cruz, CA, and Tim Brennan of Bakersfield, CA; 3 sisters, Susan Brennan of Newark, CA, Patricia Riley of Danville, CA, and Judy Kenefick of Oakton, VA. Joan is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 23, 2002, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Fairhope Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, April 24, 2002, at 10 A.M. in the chapel of Fairhope Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Lee officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer society, 1599 Clifton Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
