Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarendon. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in the church with the Rev. Arokia Raj "Raj" Samala as celebrant. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mr. Felan was born Aug. 9, 1941, in Del Rio to José and Teresa Ortega Felan. He married Mary Sauceda on Oct. 13, 1958, in Del Rio. He had been a resident of Lakeview before moving to Hedley in 1980. He worked as a cotton ginner at Lelia Lake and Lakeview Gins, a truck driver for Continental Express and at Hedley ISD and for the city of Hedley. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarendon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Oscar D. Felan of Garden City, Kan.; two daughters, Rosemary Jaramillo and husband Raymond of Amarillo and Terry Sanchez and husband Chris of Pampa; a brother, José Felan of Monahans; a sister, Juanita Lomas of Del Rio; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Rowe Cemetery Association in Hedley.
