Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of James C. and Marian L. Rosler Farrell Jr. of Clarks Summit. She was a 2004 graduate of Scranton Preparatory High School, then earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton in 2008. She was a member of The Church of Saint Gregory in Clarks Green.
Sara was the sunshine of her families' lives and was devoted to her children. An amateur tambourine player, she enjoyed making others happy and greeted everyone she met with a smile. She was an irreplaceable wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Also surviving are three children: Hailey Jo, Mia Marlo, and Jordan Jeter Hutchison, all living at home; a brother Daniel and his wife Ada, Clarks Summit; sisters Jessica Farrell and her companion Chuck Karam, Scranton, and Rebecca Farrell, Clarks Summit; and a paternal grandmother Margaret Farrell, Clarks Summit.
She was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, James Farrell Sr., and maternal grandparents Nicholas and Lois Rosler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at The Church of Saint Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411 by Rev. John Lapera, pastor. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Waverly. All who are attending mass should go directly to the church.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Children's Advocacy Center, 1710 Mulberry Street, Scranton, PA 18510.
In 2022 as part of the University of Scranton's annual 5.06 Day of Giving her family endowed a Memorial Scholarship in her memory at the University of Scranton.
