James F. Gillespie, 86, of Perry Township passed away at his residence on Friday, December 23, 2022. Born in Ellwood City on November 2, 1936, James was the son of the late Harold I. and Margaret Richards Gillespie. James was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy Dombeck on May 1, 2006. They were married on April 27, 1954. He had retired from the Ambridge B & W where he worked as a turn foreman. James was an active member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church where he was an usher and a Eucharist minister. He was also a 4th Degree Knight of the Sacred Heart Council K of C. Besides his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by 2 brothers in infancy, a daughter-in-law, Lori Gillespie and son-in-law, Joe Valentino. Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Thursday, December 29th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offer at Holy Redeemer Church on Friday, December 30th at 10 AM by Fr. Mark L. Thomas. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
