Anna Von Sprecken, 78, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1979 at Iowa City following a brief illness. Services were held Friday, Jan. 26, at the Hayden funeral home in Wyoming with the Rev. James Mattson officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery. Anna Von Sprecken was born Dec. 6, 1900, near Lowden, to Henry and Louise Licht Hintz. She married John Von Sprecken on Feb 17, 1928 at Stanwood. The couple farmed in Jones and Cedar counties until retiring in 1955 when they lived in Stanwood, Oxford Junction and Center Junction. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs.
Leo (Irene) VonMuenster, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Hintz of Scotch Grove and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Oldorf of Stanwood. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Pallbearers were Oliver Brunscheen, Everett Brunscheen, Donald
Brunscheen, Dennis VonSprecken, David VonSprecken and Glenn VonSprecken.
