Lovell V. Palmer, 80, of Bear Rd., North Syracuse, an insurance broker for 50 years before his retirement, died last night in Crouse-Irving Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Palmer was a life resident of North Syracuse. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martha E. Palmer; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Ouderkirk of North Syracuse and Mrs. Helen Alt of Clay; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted in the Sears Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William H. McConaghy of the First Presbyterian Church of Syracuse will officiate. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
