Leonard Ray High Sr., 54, a minister and former restaurant manager for the Clarion Hotel, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at a local hospital.
Funeral: Noon Saturday, April 7, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 956 E. Jefferson. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: Noon to 6 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
He was an associate minister at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, where he worked in many capacities.
Survivors: Loving wife, Kaeron Masters High; mother, Lena High; children, Leonard R. High Jr. (Sandra), Lenessa Thompson (Cedric), L. Ramon High, D. Semone Castleberry, the Rev. C. DeQuan Henderson and the Rev. Andree Gunter; stepchildren, Yolanda Masters Jones (Kevin), Lyzelma Masters Mathis (Sean) and Roosevelt Masters Jr. (Tiffany); parents-in-law, Mr. Charles and Evangelist Zelma Tomlinson; grandmother-in-law, Ozella Moody; grandson of the home, Leonard R. High III; 27 other grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Jabari Hunter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
