GERALD E. BECHTOL, age 79, of Phoenix , Arizona and formerly of Eaton, Ohio, passed away, Friday, March 14, 2008 in Phoenix. He was born on July 11, 1928 in Eaton, Ohio, the son of the late Carl Coy & Grace Marie Brown Bechtol. He was the Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank in Phoenix for 31 years and was a resident of Arizona for the past 48 years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis J.(Weisenbarger) Bechtol; his children, Jane, Beth, Susan, Gerald and Ruth; brother and sister-in-law, Carl M. and Patty J. Bechtol of Eaton; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and his puppy, Pepper.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
