OWENS, MAZIE BURNS, age 93, of Warrior, AL., passed away on February 14, 2004. Funeral services will be held at Messmer-Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 11:00 AM with burial in New Bethel Cemetery. Bro. Syl Hurst officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2004 from 6:00-9:00 PM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Doc" Owens. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Jones (Bobby) of Warrior, AL., Faye Childers (Bill) of Morris, AL., Judy Mayfield (Grady) of Warrior, AL., sons, Garland Owens (Louise) of Huntsville, AL., Fred Owens (Betty) of Morris, AL., Dan Owens (Jean) of Warrior, AL., brothers, Bob Burns of Warrior, AL., Lorenzo Burns of Ashville, AL., Carl Burns of Dallas, TX., sisters, Lucille Reid of Warrior, AL., Joyce Warden of Warrior, AL., 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
