Janice Capelle, 91, of Willard, Ohio died peacefully April 30, 2023, surrounded by her family at Norwalk Memorial Home.
Born July 10, 1931, in Norwalk, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Olieva (Heyman) Scheid. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Donald E. Capelle.
Janice worked in various Willard area businesses where she was known for her ready smiles, laughs and friendly manner. After the death of her husband, she volunteered at the Willard Senior Center and Trinity Lutheran Church's church office. She loved to play cards, go bowling, and go dancing. A lifelong Lutheran, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard. Janice was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Herbert Scheid; and son, Alan H. Capelle.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Secor Funeral Home, Willard. Janice's celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
