Carolyn Mayhew McLean, 91, of Newton, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center in Rutherfordton.
She was born December 2, 1931 in Iredell County to the late Taylor and Evangelene Pennell Mayhew. Carolyn was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Mooresville, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn McLean I; sons, Robert Glenn McLean II and Scott Oren McLean; daughter Carolyn "Dale" Saterfield and son-in-law, Billy Killian.
Those left to cherish her memory are;
Daughter: Beverly Killian of Newton
Grandchildren: Tammy Brown, Chonta Thomason, Micheal Ridenhour, Heather Rowe and Jessica McLean
A service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate. Carolyn will be buried with her husband at Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
