Dennis was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 6, 1949, son of the late William and Alice Dorsey. A longtime resident of Milford, Dennis was employed as a trucking and shipping manager for Consolidated Freightways in Stamford and later for Estes Freight in Norwalk, until his retirement. A proud veteran, Dennis honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dennis was a devout communicant of St. Mary's Church in Milford where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He also served as president of the resident's association at Shady Knoll where he participated in daytrips and social functions. Dennis was a proud supporter and volunteer for the American Red Cross in Milford.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Anthony D. Dorsey (Melissa) of Trumbull, a daughter, Maria A. Keeler (Darrel) of Seymour, grandchildren, Mattingly, Austin and Rosalina Dorsey of Trumbull and Justin and Andrew Keeler of Seymour.
Visiting will take place on Monday morning, January 24, 2022, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. His funeral will then proceed to the Church of the Good Shepherd (St. Nicholas Parish) 135 Mountain Road in Seymour for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will immediately follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour
