YORK Loureda V. Eisensmith, who achieved her desire to live to the age of 100, died at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home on Sunday, September 20, 2009,at 10:55 a.m. She was the wife of Preston E. Eisensmith, who died in 1984. Born December 22, 1908, in York, she was the daughter of the late Michael Lewis and Florence May (Fisher) Gross. She was a sales clerk of 28 years for the former W.T. Grant Store. Mrs. Eisensmith was a lifetime member of Grace United Methodist Church and Sunday School, and her passion was playing cards. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis J. Eisensmith of York; two grandsons, Dr. Kevin E. and his wife, Kathleen Eisensmith of Indiana, and Michael E. and his wife, Soon-Mi Eisensmith of Spokane, Wash.; three great-grandchildren, Christopher A., Jason M., and Nicholas A. Eisensmith; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard E. Eisensmith, who died June 8, 2009; and two brothers, Kenneth F. Gross and Homer Gross. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Friday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Dr. D. Guy Carrigan, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 29 N.
