Service: Mass of Christian burial: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrews Catholic Church, the Rev. Mark Mallick, her grandson, will officiate. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, with the rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.
Edna Mallouf Mallick was born Sept. 30, 1910, in Sayre, Okla. Her parents were immigrants from Lebanon to the United States. After spending the early years of her life in Sayre she attended business school and later met her husband, the late George Abraham Mallick Sr., a native of Fort Worth. They were married in 1937 and settled in Fort Worth to raise a family.
Edna's life in Fort Worth was marked by her acumen in the business world and raising her family. Her primary commitment and joy in life were her husband and children, the late George A. Mallick Jr., Frederick R. Mallick Sr. of Fort Worth and Shirley Mallick Farha of Wichita, Kan.
Most importantly, Edna was known for her energetic lifestyle, her soft-spoken, gentle, kind and peaceful manner. Everyone who knew her loved her.
She will especially be missed by her family.
Mrs. Mallick was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Mallick Sr.; son, George A. Mallick Jr.; and grandson, David George Mallick.
Survivors: Son, Frederick R. Mallick Sr. and his wife, Jean of Fort Worth; her daughter, Shirley Farha and her husband, William G. Farha of Wichita, Kan.; her daughter-in-law, Marlene A. Mallick of Fort Worth; her brother, Raymond Mallouf and his wife, Betty of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
