Private, Company K, 7th Tennessee Cavalry, enlisted in Henderson Co. TN on 4/20/1863. Presumed captured with the regiment at Union City, TN on 3/24/1864 and taken to Andersonville Prison in Georgia. Exchanged through Jacksonville, FL. on 4/28/1865, he was taken to College Green Barracks, MD then to Camp Chase, OH on 5/18/1865 and discharged at Camp Chase on 6/16/1865. He applied for an invalid pension in the 1880s. He was a member of the local Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). His widow Mary E Wallace,(3rd wife), applied for a pension in September 1897. He was the brother of George W. Wallace of companies H,I,& C.
