Bennie Carlos Mosley, 94, of Urbana, Illinois passed away at 2:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Hawthorne Inn of Danville, Danville, Illinois.

Mr. Mosley was born in Georgia in 1928 the son of LuVert Thompson Mosley and Ben "Onie" Mosley and he was the last survivor of 11 children. He lived over 60 years in Illinois. He married Ida Mae Schrock in 1950 in Arcola, Illinois. She passed away in 2011.

He had three children, Gail Williams, deceased (Steve, deceased), Debbie Lingk (Mike), Sandy Cook (Tim) and five grandchildren, Melissa Williams, Matthew Williams (deceased), Kenny Schrock (Melissa), Beth Rinon (Chris) and Samantha Nance (Brandon), and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, son-in-law, grandson and 10 siblings.

He was a member of the Plasterers & Cement Mason Local #143 in Champaign, Illinois for over 50 years and retired from the Union in 1991.

He enjoyed gardening as well as going fishing and hunting with family and friends well into his 80's.

There will be no visitation held and the burial will be a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, cards can be sent to the family.
