Rev. Jack B. Linney, 83, of Muldoon, died Friday, April 14, 2006, at the St. Mark‚s Hospital in LaGrange. Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm, Monday, April 17, 2006, at the Greens Bayou Assembly of God Church in Houston with burial following at Linney Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation with family receiving friends, will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm, Sunday. Visitation will continue to 9 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Bro. Jack was born January 19, 1923 in Dayton, to parents; George and Cora Linney, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Muldoon area for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School class of 1941 and Texas A&M University, veteran of the US Army with service during WW II, a retired pastor and district official for the Assembly of God Church with 50 years of service, and enjoyed gardening, cattle, and travel. Mr. Linney was preceded in death by his parents, son: Jack B. Linney, Jr., three brothers, and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Juanita Fregia Linney of Muldoon, sons: Rev. Steve Linney and wife Christi of Weatherford, Tim Linney and wife Loanne of Katy, Rev. Mike Linney and wife Deleana of Austin, and Paul Linney of East Texas, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 15 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
