FRANCES CARROLL OBITUARY
Frances Jane Carroll, age 101 of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born May 21, 1921 in Mitchell, Indiana, the daughter of William Frank and Claudia (Hudson) Anderson. Frances attended Mitchell High School.
Frances was employed in the office of Lane Bryant Company for over 38 years. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church on Woodlawn Ave., faithfully serving over 50 years in various positions. She loved to help others learn about Jesus while teaching in Sunday school. Frances loved gardening, her independence and playing games on a regular basis. She enjoyed traveling, visiting her grandchildren and most importantly; spending quality time with family.
Frances is survived by 7 children, Claudia (Bill) Renick, Donna (Larry) Sebron, Jane (Eric) Sample, Phyllis Harrell, Wilma Driggers, Bill (Jan) Brown and Steve Carroll; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Carroll; and son, David Brown.
A celebration of Frances' life and faith will take place at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Pastor Ronald Knapp officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
