Sarah Mae Spivey Carden passed away in Cary, N.C. on March 12, 1997. Mae was preceded in death by her husband Robert Judson Carden, her parents Christian Clyde Smith Spivey and John Byrd Spivey, and a twin son Calvin Rae Carden. Brothers John Carl Spivey (Virginia) of Va., Herbert Edward Spivey (Johnsie) of Mt Gilead, NC, Raymond Byrd Spivey, (Juanita) of Martin, Tn., Sister Elsie Spivey Godfrey of Sanford. Surviving brothers Roy S Spivey (Ina Mae), William (Bill) Spivey (Iris), and Russell O Spivey (Bonnie) of Sanford, NC. , sisters Myrtle Elizabeth Spivey Medlin (Wilbur), of Sanford, Mary Spivey Wooten (Kenneth), of Franklinton, NC.
Surviving is her daughter, Betty Jane Carden Tago, of Chinle, Arizona, sons Charlie Gray Carden (twin of Calvin) of San Bernadino, Ca. and Robert Glenn Carden of Fuquay Varina.
Mrs Carden was a resident of the Needmore Community near Fuquay Varina, N.C., she was an avid homemaker and well known for her great outlook on life, as well as sewing most all of the areas wedding dresses and gowns for all occasions. She was a longtime member of Wake Chapel Church in Fuquay Varnia, N.C.
