Lydia was the youngest daughter of Capron Peck, who married Lydia's mother, Lydia Daggett in 1824. They had 12 children but only 4 survived childhood. One of the 8 who died young was also named Lydia. In 1904 Lydia Daggett Peck and Sabra Capron Peck, her sister, erected the monument on the right in memory of Hezekiah and Deborah Cooper Peck, the original settlers here. They had settled here in about 1700. The site of the monument is adjacent to Woodlawn cemetery. It is behind the CVS near Florence St off Peck St. in a small Peck Yard Cemetery.
