Husband of Laurette C. Sikitka who resided in Dover, New Hampshire during the war.

CARTERET - Mr. and Mrs Nicholas, Sikitka, 103 Edgar Street, have been notified that the body of their son, Pfc. Stephen Sikitka, 22, has been returned to this country on the Army Transport Sgt. Jack J. Pendleton.

Sikitka who served in the Marines was killed at Okinawa, May 14, 1945.

Born in Carteret, he attended the Carteret High School and when he enlisted for service on June 20, 1942 he was employed at the Carteret plant, of Westvaco Chlorine Products Corporation.

He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church and a member of the Harmony Club.

Plans for the military funeral and reburial will be made as soon as the body reaches the regional distribution office of the Graves Registration Service.

Surviving, besides his parents are two sisters, Margaret and Helen.
