William Perry Sharp, Died, at the home of his mother, Mrs. Malinda Sharp, near New Winchester, Indiana, July 4, 1904, at 4 p.m., William Perry Sharp. Elder W.P. Sharp was born in Hendricks county, Indiana, August 5, 1838, and at the time of his death was 65 years and 11 months of age. Elder Sharp, accompanied by his wife, started from Longton in June to visit the World's Fair and his old home and relatives in Indiana. His health had been poorly for some time and it was hoped that the trip would benefit him. He was taken sick about two weeks before he died and gradually sank to his final rest. County Clerk Sharp was notified of the death of his father and left at once for Indiana. He arrived at Longton Saturday evening, with the remains, having been detained on the way several days by high waters. Interment was made in the Longton cemetery. The deceased left a wife and three sons, all grown, and his aged mother."
