RAINES, KENNY - On March 14, 2008 Kenny Raines, age 44 of Loganville, beloved husband, father and friend ended his 2 ½ year battle with Esophageal Cancer. He fought it until the very end, he never gave up.
He graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in finance. He was employed as the operations manager at Brysan Utility Contractors, a job he loved. His passion was sports and coaching at SGAA. He was a mentor to countless kids during his time with us. His absence will be felt by many, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of the people he touched.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 24 years, Amy Maddux Raines; his four children, Ashley, Drew, Mallory and Tyler ; Parents, Jim and Sandra Raines; Brother & Sister-in-law, Todd & Donna Raines; Sister & Brother-in-law, Donna & Gary Wain; Nieces.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, March 17, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Snellville with Pastor Brent Ross officiating. Burial Hill Haven Memory Gardens, Monroe.
Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the educational trust fund for the Raines Children at any Bank of America, a/c # 334006561724.
