Services set Monday for Chester Bartsh
PLAINVIEW- The funeral for Chester Raymond Bartsh will be 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview with the Rev. Roger Schnakenberg presiding. Burial will be in Valley Home Cemetery in Elba.
Mr. Bartsh, 79, a resident of Hillcrest Community Care Center here, died of natural causes Thursday evening (June 2, 1994)
Born Oct. 4, 1914, in Elba Township, Winona County, he married Avis Sherwood on April 22, 1936, in Elba. The couple operated a dairy farm southeast of Plainview in Whitewater Township (Fischer Hill) until 1975 when they moved to Plainview. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a past member of Whitewater Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stanley of St. Charles, and Lyle of Plainview; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gordon of Arkansas, Wis. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home here and one hour prior to the service at the church.
