Their father died in the civil war in Aug 1864, apparently as a POW at Point Lookout, MD and their mother then married Harvey Staton and from that union they have a half-sister, Hettie Staton Crepps.
Their stepfather died in 1869 and their mother then raised them with the assistance of her mother, Elizabeth Porter Braswell.
Texanna married Jessie L Beacham in 1881. They apparently did not have any children. She is seen at home in the 1910 census so arrived at the asylum after that.
