Hezekiah Peck died at 62 in 1723. He was the son of Capt. Nicholas Peck b. 1630 who was one of the six sons of Joseph Peck the 1638 immigrant. Hezekiah Peck settled here with Deborah Cooper around 1700 and was the first person buried here in 1723.
