Alpha Genetta Jones Woolley was the 4th daughter and the 7th child of Hugh Jones, Sr. and Genetta Woolley Jones. She married Minor Lafayette Woolley on Nov 30, 1865 in Bibb Co. AL. They had 2 sons and 4 daughters.

Obituary from the Carlton News dated May 31, 1929.

Grandmother Wooley (Woolley), age 90, of Lamkin, who died May 6th, was buried in the Toliver cemetery, near Lamkin. The funeral services were held by Revs. O. A. Morton, M. Boiles and Elder Len Dalton.


The pallbearers were her grandsons, namely, Ray Wooley (Woolley), Fayette Tatum, Thruman Tally, Ruffe White, Roscoe White, Earnest Tatum, Luther White, Harley White, Grady Wooley (Woolley), Lynn Wooley (Woolley), and a great grandson walked at the rear of the casket.


The flower girls were her granddaughters as follows, Mrs. "Sallie" Jay, Mrs. Myrtle Peterson, Mrs. Johnnie Massingil, Mrs. Lucile Froh, Mrs. Minnie Colwick, Mrs. Dessie Anderson and Miss Miner Pearl Wooley (Woolley).


She is survived by four girls and two boys, Mrs. Emma Huff, Mrs. J. O. Tally, Mrs. Drue Cooper. The sons are Walter and Gate.
