Another old resident of Wilmot passed away last Friday, 12 December 1913, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Struth, at Wilmot Centre, in the person of Elizabeth Pickwell, relict of the late George Battler. Deceased had been in failing health for some time, but reached the advanced age of 83 years. Her husband predeceased her about fifteen years ago. A grown up family survives her. Her earthly remains were interred in the Pine Hill Cemetery on Sunday afternoon, the obsequies being conducted by Rev. J. C. Morlock, pastor of the Evangelical Church, New Hamburg.
