Born in Ligonier, Pennsylvania on Jan. 19, 1925, he was an Akron resident for 20 years. He worked for Akron Automatic Screw Products. He was married on Nov. 17, 1944 in Winchester, Virginia to Alice Mangus. She preceded him in death in 1972.
He leaves three sons; two daughters; brothers, George and Blair; sisters, Louise Gindlesperger, and Alice Holman, all of Pennsylvania; plus 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services in Schermesser Funeral Home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with interment in Hillside Memorial Park.
