He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting trips to Wyoming with family and friends as well as cross country trips to the "West". Horace was a construction worker, spending some years building new homes and doing home improvements with an older brother, Huey, in Richland, Lexington and other counties.
He is survived by his former wife and long time friend, Betty Williamson; his children, Billy Dewayne Williamson, Sherry Williamson Loree (Marlin), Horace David Williamson Jr., Teresa Ann Williamson and Bryan Dean Williamson; nine grandchildren and eight great grand children. He is also survived by his brothers, Huey "Hank" Williamson (Sara) of Leesville, SC and Clyde Williamson (Jo) of Lithonia, Ga.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Melvin "Bud" Williamson of North, SC; and sisters, Gladys Boles and Bobbie Todd, both of West Columbia.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
