Mrs. Alfons "Fritz" Bernhard nee Mary Fiedler of Fredericksburg passed away on Sunday, April 23rd at the age of 88 years.

Mary L. Fiedler was born on July 1st, 1934 in Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, Texas to Ben Peter and Ella Juenke Fiedler

She married Alfons "Fritz" Bernhard on September 20th, 1953 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg

Mrs. Mary L. Bernhard is survived by one daughter, two sons and spouses: Marlis and Jerry Icke of Doss, Jimmy and Dianne Bernhard of Fredericksburg, David "Roda" and Vickie Bernhard of Fredericksburg

7 Grandchildren: Teri Hoyt, Phillip Grona and wife, Lindsey, Brad Bernhard and wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth Gold and husband Jeremy, Nicole Whorton and partner Jorge Rodriguez, Megan Cates and husband Tearle, and Monica Lynn and husband Nick.

16 Great Grandchildren: Cimarron Hoyt, Lauren Grona, Carson Grona, Hunter Bernhard, Henry Beyer, Nathan Beyer, Colton Bernhard, Caleb Bernhard, Case Gold, Lincoln Whorton, Myles Rodriguez, Brooklyn Cates, Brantley Cates, Noah Tatum, Ryker Lynn, Xander Lynn, Aden Lynn.

Two sisters: Agnes and Clinton Klaerner of Fredericksburg, Annie, Mrs. Lynn Stone of Kerrville

Sister in law: Nora, Mrs. O.B. Fiedler of Fredericksburg

Mrs. Bernhard is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Son: Ronnie Bernhard, Grandson in law: Tommy Hoyt and siblings, Ira Fiedler, Norman Fiedler, Roman Fiedler, Francis Fiedler, Milton Fiedler, Kermit Fiedler, OB Fiedler, John Earl Fiedler, Ben Fiedler, Jr.

As per her request she will be cremated with a Private Family Service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in her memory to the St. Mary's School Athletic Department, Methodist Hospital/Hill Country Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
