BRAY, JAMES ARTHUR. Gunner. No 13340. 383rd Siege Battery Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Lindley 16.11.1885. Son of Fred Bottom and Ann Bray, 14 Lidget Street, Lindley. Educated at Lindley Church Schools. Employed as a woollen warehouseman by Messrs O. Rayner and Company, West Parade, Huddersfield. Enlisted 12.12.1916. Died of pneumonia in Jerusalem, 7.11.1918, aged 32 years.
Brother of Private Willie Bray, who died, 31.5.1916, q.v.).
Buried JERUSALEM WAR CEMETERY. Grave location:- Row W, Grave 20.
ROH:- Lindley Zion Methodist Chapel; St. Stephen's Church, Lindley.
