Wayne was born Jan. 30, 1936 in Adams, Minn. to John and Magdalena (Merten) Mullenbach. Wayne graduated from the Adams High School and was married to Frances Spinler on Sept. 25, 1962 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Medford, Minn. They moved to the Mullenbach family farm in rural Adams where they resided until moving into Adams in 1994.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he served on the church council.
Wayne loved farming and never really retired. He also enjoyed woodworking and helping his grandchildren with their projects. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed baseball, softball and football games.
Wayne is survived by his wife: Frances Mullenbach, Adams, Minn.; children: Lori and Kevin Blowers, New Richland, Minn.; Pat and Kris Mullenbach, Adams, Minn.; Randy Mullenbach, LeRoy, Minn., Tim Mullenbach, Rose Creek, Minn., Betty Mullenbach, Adams, Minn.; sisters and brother: Evangline Binzer, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Elmer (Donna) Mullenbach, Adams, Minn.; Cleo Ann Osmundson, Adams, Minn., Jurine (David) Smith, Adams, Minn.; sister-in-law: LaVonne (Slim) Landherr, Adams, Minn.; nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Vernon and a sister Darlene Mayer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father James Seitz Officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Johnsburg. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. on Monday evening.
