In 1967 she married Walter Smith and began a twenty-year adventure traveling the country and the world as the wife of a career Navy man. After her husband retired they settled in Pensacola. She began volunteering at the American Diabetes Association and the Northwest Florida Radio Reading Service. Mrs. Smith was an avid bowler, zealous reader, and loved cats.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Walter; daughter & son in-law, two grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters in law, a brother-in-law, nephews & nieces (and their children).
A Mass of celebration will be held 10:30 am Monday March 17, 2008 at Little Flower Catholic Church with Father Eugene Casserly celebrant.
Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 Sunday March 16, 2008 at FAITH CHAPEL South 100 Beverly Pkwy.
In memory of Mrs. Smith the family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
