Lizzie B. Willard, 85 of West Plains died Sunday in West Vue Home. She was born Dec 26, 1898 in Thomasville, MO, the daughter of the late Charles Washington Huddleston and Philura Jane English Huddleston.
She received her education in the schools of Thomasville, and on Mar 12, 1924 she was married in Oregon County to Bird Luck Willard. He preceded her in death Oct 1, 1965.
Mrs. Willard had been a teacher in several county schools in Oregon Co.; and after her marriage she and her husband had farmed until his death.
Mrs. Willard had been a member of the Elk Creek Presbyterian Church for the last 20 years and had attended the First Assembly of God Church at West Plains.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Gene (Vera) Jones and Mrs. Hosea (Effie) Willard, both of West Plains, MO; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be today at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with Rev. Marvin Nichols officiating. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are E.J. McDaniel, Neale Phipps, Charles Thompson, Kenneth Harris, Ralph Jolliff and Dennis Vonallmen.
