Rosetta was born in Arlington, Texas to James Marcus Hayes and Frances Rhodes Hayes. Her name appears as Rose on census documents but I can't remember anyone calling her Rose. Her birth certificate has been altered so we do not know the correct spelling of her name. It is either Rosetta or Rozeta but she always spelled it Rosetta. She married J. Dewey Foster on September 5, 1919 and after his death she married Burl Clark.
