Tanner was a Private First Class in the United States Marines; he enjoyed mud riding and playing video games. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, W. M. and Helen Spillars.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his parents: John David and Ashley; one sister Lexus Spillars and fiancé Daley Sesser; one niece Kolton; maternal grandparents, Larry and Ella Mizell; and canine brothers, Trooper and Gibbs.
Funeral services for PFC Tanner W. Spillars, 18, of St. Joseph will be 2 PM Monday April 24, 2023, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newellton. Visitation will be 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home.
