4th Goldney Baronet of Beechfield and Bradenstoke Abby. He was the only son of Sir Frederick Hastings Goldney, 3rd Baronet and his wife, Lady Ethel Julia (Swayne) Goldney. He married Violetta Barnes in July 1916. They had no children. He inherited the title on the death of his father in 1940. During World War I he served in the Royal Engineers and was awarded the Military Cross for Conspicuous gallantry in action. He had no male heirs, so upon his death in 1974 the baronetcy became extinct.
