INMAN-- Matsy Loftis Mahaffey, 89, of 2435 Foster Road died March 19, 1999, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
A native of New Prospect, she was the widow of Clyde Mahaffey and daughter of the late William and Liza Morris Loftis. A homemaker, she was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and T.E.L. Sunday school class.
Surviving are a daughter, Mildred Jarrell of Inman; two sons Eston and Jerry Mahaffey of Inman; three sisters, Pearl Bishop, Iris Loftis and Bernice Davis; all of Inman; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rock Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Mark Williams, Ron Jackson and Bill Harris. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the church, following burial.
The family is at the home of her son, Eston Mahaffey, 2481 Foster Road, Inman.
