3rd Goldney Baronet of Beechfield and Bradenstoke Abbey. Son of Sir Gabriel Goldney, 1st Baronet, and his wife Lady Mary (Alexander) Goldney. He received his education at Harrow and in 1875 he married Ethel Julia Swayne. They had four daughters and one son. She died in 1926, a year after he inherited the baronetcy upon the death of his brother, Sir Gabriel Prior Goldney. He was a solicitor, former High Sheriff and former mayor of Chippenham.
