Alan Thomas MOENCH Passed away on March 3, 2008 in Federal Way of primary schlerosing cholangitis. He was 55 years old. Alan was born in Seattle on December 22, 1952 to Silven and Thelma Moench. Alan grew up on Bainbridge Island with his parents, brothers and sisters. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1971. Alan had a great joy for life, but his greatest joy was his children and his grandchildren. Alan married Patti Scott in 1979. Early in Alan's life he became a cross country truck driver. He drove all over the United States. At the time of his death he was employed with the Rail Terminal Services of Seattle. Alan loved sprint car racing, the Mariners, the Seahawks, playing cards and spending time with family. Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma. He is survived by his father, Silven of Bainbridge Island; sons Michael and Matthew of Kent; daughter Megan (Corey) Marquette of Friday Harbor; grandchildren Kylar and Kaileen Marquette of Friday Harbor; brothers John (Miki) of Lacey and Donald (Sonya) of Poulsbo; sisters Carolin (Howard) Adams of Bellingham and Joanne Scott of Lacey. Other special people in Alan's life were brother-in-law Jon Weiss, nephew David (Marian) Weiss of Kent, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. Please join the family for a Celebration of Alan's Life at his Memorial Service on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Seabold Methodist Church on Bainbridge Island. A Reception will follow in the Social Hall of the church. Donations may be made to benefit a college fund for Alan's grandchildren c/o Megan Marquette, 445 Carter Ave #14, Friday Harbor, WA 98250. There will be a private family Burial at the Seabold Cemetery.
