Son of Hiram Hoskins and Elizabeth Fultz Hoskins. He first married Angeletta "Lettie" Wilson in 1871 and they went on to have 13 children. After the death of Lettie in 1906 he would go on to marry Rebecca J Rice. The precise location of James final resting place is unknown, however family stories suggest that his second wife made the comment she would bury him anywhere but next to his first wife. They appear to be living in Laurel county in 1920 so it is possible he was buried near to where they lived at his death. He does not show up in the 1930 census so it is presumed he died between 1920 and 1930.
Information provided by 3rd Great Grandson Cory J. Collett as part of my ongoing Hoskins/Collett Family research.
