Marjorie (Steelman) McFadden was born on Thursday; November 2, 1922 in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jody and Bessie (Huff) Steelman. She graduated from New Providence High School in 1940 and Central Iowa Business College in 1941. Marjorie has resided in Marshalltown, Iowa for over 60 years. She was employed by Fisher Controls and retired from there in 1982. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and the ABWA. She enjoyed shopping, reading, watching mystery shows and tracking weather and current events in her journals.

Marjorie (Steelman) McFadden, age 85, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Wednesday; March 12, 2008. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her children: Joyce Reeder of Urbandale; Polk County, Iowa and Mary (David) Miller of Marshalltown, Iowa. Her grandchildren: James (Carrie) Reeder, Carrie Reeder, Rachel Reeder, Joshua Doll, Jacob Doll and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Doll. Her great-grandchildren: Abigail & Hannah Reeder and Devon Downs. Her niece: Virginia (Boyd) Vanmeter and her nephew: Gene Steelman. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. on Friday; March 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at: 2:00 p.m. on Saturday; March 15, 2008 also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa.
